To start off, I’m only going to do Nightwish and Evanescence covers, save for Broken. This is because I already know the songs.

I am, however, open to suggestions from these two bands or something I likely know.

I’m proud of this one though, I managed to get it damn near perfect.

Once it’s possible, I’ll record it.

Anyway, I learned Bye Bye Beautiful and am on my way to learning Cadence of Her Last Breath. Both by Nightwish.

Should be noted that these two plus Amaranth are played in Standard D Tuning (down a whole step). I, however, am translating them to Drop D tuning, as I find them to be much easier to play this way.

One is a drum machine, so I can make basic beats and stuff.

The other is a personal home studio. It’ll let me record my guitar, bass, keyboards, drums, etc. using the built-in mixer.

My bass is a 5 string, so it’s all I really need to play along with those five tunings.

I’ve already started messing around with riffs I’ve created, and look forward to adding Bass, Keyboard, and Drums to it all.

Which reminds me, I need to get a recorder of some sort.

I still need to get a good effects board.

Well, this is my new band name, and whether or not I gotta be a one man band or otherwise, I’m going through with it.

Credit goes to Mike, though, for the Album Name idea, Imminent Transcendence.

I’m tired of playing in bands where my style isn’t welcome. I need to express myself and the only way I can do that is if I play music that I like, not what the other members like.

The Band style will be something along the lines of Within Temptation, Evanescence, Lacuna Coil, Nightwish, Xandria, Nemesea, etc.

As a side note, if you haven’t checked out Xandria and Nemesea, I suggest you do so right fucking now.

Anyway, I’m doing this regardless of how I have to go about it. If I have to write the songs myself, record the music myself, or otherwise.

This is what has been missing in my life for almost a year, and I’m just going absolutely insane not doing it.

My first plans are to do some acoustic covers of Evanescence and Within Temptation, then move on when I get a full band thing going.

The one thing stopping me, is vocals. I can do backing vocals (been kinda practicing, actually) but for this I need a female singer.
